1. Service Description
ExpatAuto.es provides gestoría services for car import, customs clearance, ITV inspection booking, and DGT registration in Spain. We act as an authorised representative on your behalf before Spanish administrative authorities.
2. Scope of Services
Our standard service package (660€ for Ukrainian vehicles) includes:
- Customs declaration preparation and submission (FTR + DUA)
- Liaison with Agencia Tributaria for IEDMT (registration tax)
- ITV appointment booking and technical inspection coordination
- DGT registration application and plate assignment
Services outside the standard package (e.g., homologación, damage assessment, travel franquicia applications) are quoted separately.
3. Client Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete documentation as requested
- Inform us promptly of any changes to your residency status or vehicle condition
- Pay the agreed fee before or upon commencement of services
- Ensure the vehicle is legally owned and free of outstanding liens or offences
4. Fees and Payment
Our fees are fixed and agreed in writing before work begins. Government taxes, DGT fees, and ITV costs are not included in our service fee and are payable directly by the client. Refunds are not issued once administrative procedures have been initiated.
5. Timeline
Typical processing time is 4–8 weeks from receipt of complete documentation. Delays caused by government backlogs, missing documents, or vehicle issues outside our control do not constitute a breach of service.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the service fee paid. We are not liable for consequential losses, fines arising from pre-existing vehicle non-compliance, or delays caused by third-party authorities.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.
